Duck and Goose Custom Made By Paul Davis

Paul Davis has been making duck and Goose calls for about 10 years. He started making bamboo calls just for friends and family. Paul began getting getting serious about turning wood calls about 4 years ago.

Paul has been a duck hunter for at least 35 years and usually hunts with his two boys, Bob and Dylan. Paul tells me he thinks about waterfowl 365 days a year and still loves it more every time he goes.

Paul makes an Arkansas style duck call that has an oil and wax finish and a Glodo style barrel. I would say it is a medium to loud call for a wood call. Paul's calls have got a complete range of sounds and are made only to order. He tries to make each call to fit the owner as they describe their calling techniques to him. He's made them for young hunters as well so they can blow them very easy. His goose flute is typical flute with better than average volume. I think you will find his calls to sound even better than they look.

All of Paul's calls are made from the wood of choice for the barrel and the inserts are made from Cocobolo or Blackwood. The most durable and in my opinion beautiful call is made completely from Cocobolo.
