Grandpa's Calls

Contact Grandpa Ed

Ed vasek has been making custom turkey calls for about 10 years, winning several awards along the way. Now he concentrates his efforts on experimental calls, as he doesn't want to become a production call maker.

Each call Ed makes is numbered and autographed to the person receiving the call.

As with any custom made item, the order will take several weeks to complete, for several reasons.

1) Other orders ahead of your's
2) Each of Ed's calls are made from scratch.

Grandpa Ed picks out each piece of wood especially for the call he's making at that time. he tries to pick the wood to bring out it's beauty and unusual character, for the specific call he's making.

Ed make's several different grades of calls and each has it's own enhancements. the turkey tracks are burnt in by hand and therefore never the same on any two calls. Ed can even embed a shotgun shell in the paddle of the call of 12 or 20 guage and the type may be varied. His pewter turkey comes in two sizes plus, several different inlay woods.

NO TWO CALLS ARE EVER ALIKE EVEN IN THE SAME CATEGORY OR SIMILAR WOODS!

Ed is making a set of 10 collector's grade calls and when we last spoke to him he was on number 6. They're priced at $200.

His experimental calls are bloodwood and birdseye maple and two sided. These calls are priced at $75.

He also makes a call from Buckthorn. These are one sided and extremely easy to use. Priced at $55.
